Does anyone have any experience with the Fabritech solid axle swap lift kits? I did a search on this site, but didn't really get the answer I was looking for. I know it looks awesome, but I don't want to buy it for the looks. I want something that performs great. I know the benefits of a solid front axle, I'm more concerned about the craftsmanship of the product and how well it holds up to abuse.

Thanx

it is expensive but when you do the ttb right it is about equal besides the cost of setting up the new d44. the radius arms with the kit have a great reputaion and are around $6-700 of the price. ive only talked to one guy that had it that didnt like it i think he said the tracbar mount was a little cheesy. that is supposed to be on the hardest parts of the swap though. if you cant fabricate much that id say go for it itll be alot better than any ttb setup. but if you can id do some research and maybe try to build it yourself. its nice to have a bolt in no guesswork axleswap kit though... your best bet would be to find a complete donor truck (78-79 bronco/standard cab f150) to get the axle, coil buckets, trac arm, radius arms, crossmember. this stuff is getting somewhat hard to find but its there if ya look enough. i have a nice 79 bronco i got for $2800, but ive also bought a 79 f150 complete rollin chassis w/motor for $150, and this week im pickin up another 79 bronco for $150!! ive also bought a 79 dd4 for $30 at a junkyard!! just look around for awhile and youll find some sweet deals
