I really only understood that you have a '91 explorer, and I assume from your title that you want to convert it to 4x4 from 4x2. If this is the case, you can, just need a transfer case(very expensive/ heavy part of the conversion), front axle, new front suspension, shorter rear drive shaft, a front drive shaft and a lot of time.

first off did some on bronco ranger f150 f250 b fore
ive done
allway's get donor car
91 explorer ad 2= 4x4 and 1= 2x4 now 2x4 is 4x4 too
bronco 2 got ,85,86,89,90
f150 f 250 2, 4wd 1 was 2 now 4wd
dont have to b rich to love ford's
where there a will there a way
