After resolving the idle surge problem with my new 351w, I went to the local muffler/speed shop for a dual exhaust system; The owner insisted on a y pipe after the second cat (no mufflers) and custom bent pipes to exhaust on both sides, they also installed huge angle cut chrome tips for a smokin' look: the reason for the post is that I was unsure about running without mufflers, but the sound is awesome!!! give it a try....note I live in Florida and am not subject to vehicle inspections total job $200

Yo bluesman17,

I am going to upgrade my exhaust in the next few months, I'm curious as to how you got pipes to route to both sides. Whenever you may possibly get a chance, can you post some pics of the rear configuration so that I can check it out?

What I plan on doing is getting pipe with the mandrel bends and the crossover and stuff and fitting them all together myself, it's hard to get a muffler shop to do anything here in my part of the world 'cause of the emisson laws, it sucks.

LATER,

BNT
