This evening I started up the rig to put her back in the driveway. (I just washed the drive way off so there was some water on the ground). I drove around the block came back and parked it(shut it off). When I walked around the truck there was smoke coming from the tailpipe.

My question; Would the truck have been running long enough to heat up the exhaust and cause steam from the water? or Is it smoking from the engine through the exhaust?

Should I be worried??

This sounds dumb....

I had a 92 F150 that did the same thing if it only ran between 15 and 25 minutes. My mechanic told me it was just steam and when I ran it longer it never happened again.

It is steam from the moisture content in the air. When the muffler heats up it evaporates the moisture inside. down here in the south a factory muffler will drip through the drain/vent in the bottom of the muffler body and sometimes drops from the end of the tailpipe. Humidity sux

I wouldn't worry. As long as it doesnt smell.. or is cloude white. Usually if it's heavy white, it means there is water in the system - Your cooling system

A little is usually as stated above, steam. no worries
