I have a 96 Bronco XLT that is equipted w/ electric door locks. The one on the drivers side has quit working. I can't figure out how to get the old one out. Can anyone help?

There is an aluminum rivet that you need to drill out then un hook the rod inside the door then unplug the wires from the actuator.

The rivet is at the bottom of the door below the latch mechanism.

If there is a bolt or nut there then someone else has already replaced the actuator.

I hope this helps.

Thanks!

I thought that might be a rivet of some kind but didn't won't to proceed w/drilling until I knew for sure. Great sight to have since our trucks are starting to get some age on them.
