Where is the best place to wire in for the electric choke to work? On my 79 Bronco the electric choke is hooked up to a connector coming off the firewall with a male and female end in it. There is power coming from the connector put not power going into the connector that attaches the electric choke to it. I figure those connectors are the orginal place for hooking up the choke? It was like this when I got it. Where else can I wire in the choke?

Any wire that has 12 volts on it with the key . All the edelbrock or holley carbs I have ever had just called for 12 volts to run to one post on the choke housing and the other post goes to ground . If you take apart one of the choke units they have a sort of thermal switch in them so when it heats up it opens cools a bit and closes keeps doing this cycle but the choke doesnt have tome to close until it cools down all the way . Im sure someone will say you have to hook it to the alternator because thats where the factory one went but it really doesnt matter . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
