alright i was having a bad problem with my truck spitting and sputtering under heavy load...today i changed the throttle body and TPS and it ran like a brand new truck...it sat for 7 hours while i was at work...ran great for about 10 minute on my way home from work then started spitting and sputtering worse then it did before...i doubt its the EGR or o2 due to the check engine light not being on..any ideas?...im thinking it could be the pick up in the distributor going bad and messing up once its hot

sounds like you need to monitor this for a few more days and get a bit more info, cant really rule out anything yet, maybe the light doesnt work or something. Could be as simple as a vaccum line. Watch it and then pull your plugs if you still have no ideas. My Number 8 plug is fouling up real bad ever since my nasty wheeling incident back in Oct.

ok after doing throttle body IAC TPS and EGR...it was the distributor...there was moisture behind the IGN module and the pick up was bad..new distributor and spare module with new good dialectic grease fixed the problem
