Has anyone swapped in a fi 351 into an EB. I have one from a 90 f-150 with auto (e4od). I am not using the e4od, I have a c-4 sitting in the garage. Will there be issue the computer and trans. I already know about the intake clearnace issue.

I put one in my 74 and love it. However I am having some cooling problems at low rpm and idling 220-230. I put a Howe aluminum radiator, Flow Kooler water pump cut 3" holes in the back of my Proflow hood, mechanical race fan with shroud all with some improvement but not where I would like it.

I have seen where you can drill and tap the intake at the rear where there are two unused coolant ports and this is supposed to cure all of the problems. I have yet to do it but will be this winter.

This is a tight fit and you will need to fab some accessory brackets or buy them thru jeffs broncograveyard. The oil pan on mine is a Ford truck pan with a custom dent from where the front diff hit it after some air time on the dunes. Jeff sells special pans for the 351.

Even with the cooling issues I am having the extra cubes are all worth it. I would definetly pull the intake and drill those ports to get that coolant out of the back of the motor before you put it all in there.

You can get instructions how to do this on this forum.

I'm also considering putting the 351 from my 91 in my Bronco. Did you have to use a body lift to get the engine to fit? What about the computer?
