E4OD trans fluid type

I have a 1990 E4OD tranny. Its probably due for a fluid change.

Is Mercon still the recommended fluid for it?

The rig has 124,000 miles on it if that makes a difference.

I would think its still Dex/Merc, but since its a E4OD it could maybe take Mercron 3. Look on your trans dipstick or in the owners manual.

Don't use Mercron V though!
