Ok I took my 1986 full size 4x4 bronco to a local exhaust shop and asked them for dual exhaust.... They said they couldnt do a dual exhaust on an 86 bronco? WTH? I have heard different from people on here. Do I need headers for dual exhaust? I had them run a dummy dual cat back exhaust system with a dual Flowmaster 40 series outlet. So I have a fake duals system. I dont want to get rid of that. I was thinking about getting another one of the flomaster 40 series dual outlet mufflers. Giving me 4 pipes. Can they do it? PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS. Thanks.

I just went through this with my muffler shop with my 90.

My shop said yes they can install a dual exhaust but it is not worth it as they would have to run both pipes down the passenger side frame rail and I wouldn't really gain anything from it.

Maybe your shop says no do to either one of the reasons my shop said.

Yes it can be done. It ain't that easy but dooable. There are a couple of ways to do it, but the best looking is the way Freak did it. His isn't the only example in the gallery, but just the one that comes to mind immediately. Take a look at his pictures in the gallery. Also, do a search on "Dual Exhaust" include the quotes, you will get a ton of hits to sort thru.

Good luck,

:)>-

i had duals added to my 92 bronco. what i did is ran both pipes down the passenger side and had them come out just before the rear tire. i think it looks great.

Check some of the pics of my Duels in the link at the bottom, you won't get alot out of having true duels unless you have really Modified the Motor, you will get better results from a stock motor with headers and a 3in catback sys..
