Just curious if anyone has had problems with doors closing. I just got the Blue Beast back from the paint shop. I got new weatherstripping on doors and I know that will make it a little tight, but I really have to slam it pretty hard to get good closure. Then you really have to press ******* outside door **** to release. The driver's side a little more than passenger. Does the striker arm offer any adjustment. It seems like it could come outboard more. Any thoughts are ideas?

Did you install the weather stripping on the doors yourself?

No I bought the weatherstripping and they installed after the painting was completed. Everything seems to be installed correctly no bulges or overlays anywhere. It has always been a little hard to close but now probably a little more so.

Well I would take it back and show them and tell them they need to fix it

Yea, Thats not a problem they are aware of it also and they are willing to help with adjustment. Just trying to see if anyone might have run into this before and might have some ideas. Probably going to have to play with hinges and maybe replace striker arms.

Sounds like the door is just out of alignment. If adjustment doesn't work and it looks like the door sags, you may need to redo the hinges. You can get new pins or hinge rebuild parts from a lot of sources, Tom's Bronco Parts to name 1.

1st I would try to get the painters to fix it! Post a pic of the new paint if you don't mind. I love newly painted rigs!

I'll try to get a pic up this weekend. They did a excellent job! Looks like I went back in time and bought it new.
