Im planning on getting a 4" lift for my truck but looking at stock bronocs mine has significant space in the wheel wells (30x9.5 tires now) Im fairly sure it doesnt have a body lift, but maybe an old suspension lift? Its on stock sized shocks too, if that would change anything. Any help would be greatly appriciated even if you just think I could fit the tires I want (super swamper boggers 33x14x15)

You would need to show us the rear axle where the leaf springs attach.

And the front where the axle attaches to the crossmember.

It doesn't look like it is lifted if those are 30 inch tires.

blues,

from the 2nd pic it does not look like you have a body lift. Take a real up-close look at the body mount bushing for any kind of block on top of the stock rubber bushing for a body lift. From the third pic, measure the height of the front coil spring. Stock ride height of the spring installed is 12 inches. Mine are 18" with the SkyJ 6" lift for comparison. I don't recall the normal length of a stock shock, but any lift kit would require longer shocks. You can often identify a lift kit brand by the brand of shock, too, assuming the installer used the ones that came with the kit. Different brands of shocks can be at different ride height depending on their condition. IF your coil springs are less than 12" tall, it could be due to a worn out shock or sagging, tired spring. You can also look for an additional lift block under the rear leaf springs. The stock block is usually mounted sideways along the axis of the axle. Confused?? :-"

very confused, i replaced the shocks a few months ago with stock sized ones would that pull it down if it was lifted? ill take some pics of the axle/leafs and front end (the old shocks where in poor shape and no way of telling what brand they were)

NO, stock length shocks will not pull it down, but they will limit the travel or how much they can go up or down. Juat measure the front coil springs with a tape measure or even a 12" ruler. SImple~

I see no lift and judging by the look of the coils condition its stock. The rear block is only a tapered shim to help the driveline angle. A lifted leaf spring would also have more leafs. Looks like its time for a new suspension anyhow. 2" will clear 33's but you will be much happier with 4" lift.

Brother Blues, it doesn't look like any added lift block under the rear spring. TO measure the front coils, find the end of the spring at the top, by the small clamp that holds it in place, and measure down to the the bottom. MEASURE THE COIL SPRING ONLY. This will tell you if it has a 1-2" leveling coil installed or not, which I doubt by looking at the pics.
