dana 60 front axle

i just bought a 1977 ford f-250 for 100 bucks. the axle in the front says d60 on it. i want to know whats up with the axles in it look smaller than my dana 44 shafts.

Is it one of those 10 spline D60's? If so they are worthless. The D60 shaft and u-joint will be much larger than a D44.

pictures would be greatly helpful. how are the knuckles arranged? can you openly see the ujoints and yokes? or is it covered up. if its a closed knuckle, ditch it. but it should have a d60 rear, which aint too shabby
