Dana 20 Transfer Case Gears

I need to replace my Rear Sliding Gear in my Dana-20, My t-case hase a 18-8-58 in it now but I have a 18-8-65 that i got from another t-case and it looks the same? What is the differnce between the 2 gears?

Did you count the teeth on the gear? What year D20s are you talking about? I don't know much about them, in fact I'm just learning what's what. But there's different ratios 2.46 and 2.34, I think are the numbers for 66-72 and 73-77, respectively. Also I think Jeep D20 have some differences.
