93 fullsize 5.0 bone stock but plan on keeping that way as a daily driver and turning my other one into a beast

finally got the axles and front end done about finished with brakes now for the "hard part" my passenger side door does not open from the inside or out and the power window and lock do nothing. just to make it more fun the drivers side door has no handle on the inside and the power window skips badly so wind up holding it while lowering and pulling it up by hand

also replaced the tail gate only to find that the wiring for it was hacked to death by previous ownerso window held up with rope and gate wont line up like other ones i have done so it to is held with rope other than that is a great truck.... :^o

do have a set of power doors from an 88 dont know if the internals are same or not cant get the one to open to find out

Hi,

About the doors not opening, if you remove the door panel you will see a couple of rods that go from the door handle to the striker. If your lucky, one the rods may have just come loose (popped out of socket) and you can just pop it back into place. Or another thing is that the striker may be seized.(not good) Can you hear the lock motor work, or is it just completely dead? I just moved to Michigan and I used to live in Silver Creek, NY just south west of Buffalo. Just neat to know we used to live pretty close.

Doors will change out, just swap vent windows to keep same year to match door panel style.I'd find another tailgate harness for now and change'em.Rusted tailgates ain't hard to find.

Pull out the console, then seat so you have room to pull panel off. 92 up trks had a cable from inside handle to latch and rusted out fast.Hopefully when you get the panel off you'll find this and be able to pull it open.Like said before if this won't work fish around the latch for the lever that hooks to the outside handle and work it.It would be odd that neither way would work when you try this.
