im looking for ways to enhance my broncos stability, it feels very tippy when compared to my jeep tj. they are both similar, the bronco has 33s 3.5 inch lift cutt fenders and a rear locker. the front springs are deavers and the rears are stock with blocks. my ideas for better stability are: A. remove the hard top for wheelin, wheel spacers, and extended radius arm using jonny joints and ditching the c bushings. what do u all think? or is it all im my head, the jeep and the bronco are nearly identical in demension and wisdo would be helpful

HUH...???

Hi 71..,

The "EB" has NO stability issues..... however., such a problem can be built into any vehicle...., especially "heeps"

Dunno what to tell ya here... maybe more info. & re-phrase the question..

Then someone may have a suggestion. :-B

I think it was BBB who lowered his rig down fr. a big lift, for that reason... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The heep and the bronco have near same wheelbase and track width, but with your 33 in tires you can run with out a lift if you cut enough, I ran 38s on a 4 inch lift with extreme cutting , but I feel for ya the bronco does need more wheelbase, with new longer radius arms you can iffy push the front out 1 - 2 inchies without too much problems and you can always push the rear out 4-6 inchies if you dare move the springs back too the end of the frame. The yota and zuk guys like the 63 inch chevy springs they might give you more flex so you dont feel tippy as I did as well. But I am not a bronco guy these days I am hunting for the new rig, I have a empty garage,I have done chevy blazers, yotas, broncos, zuks, I might do a full size bigger rig next for camping and sleeping and hunting.

Lower the rig and cut big and clean your gas tank out

Replace the rear spring/block combo with new 11 leaf pack full arched springs. Blocks are inherently unstable. Supplement with a rear traction bar to minimize axle wrap. There is no problem with c-Bushings, but I'd get new urethane bushings with max caster built in, and replace the radius arm bushings. If you're really concerned, you could replace the early bronco axles with axles from a 78-79 bronco. They have a wider track, and the front is a high pinion to boot.
