New to the site, just bought my third Bronco today for 800 bucks! Needs alot of work cosmetically...anyway, Im trying to find an aftermarket cruise control kit. It does not have stock cruise control, so I cant just fix it. I have searched around for it, but I keep coming up with two types. One with VSS, and the other without.

Has a 302 Carbed, C6 tranny, no tilt.

yo,

Since it has a carb, I Assume it is not a late model year w/the 8.8 diff and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

So get the model without the VSS

GL and how about a tech article w/pics? You may be one of the first anywhere to past an aftermarket CC install; also show what year and engine, tranny, Xfer case etc that new Bronco has in it

You can put in a stock cruise control, I've done it.

All you need to do is get the parts from a junker. You will need the cruise servo and associated hardware from under the hood and speedometer cable with speed sensor, the fire wall pass through for the wires and vacuum dump, the center of the steering wheel with the cruise buttons, vacuum dump switch attached to the brake pedal, and the amplifier with horn relay under the dash next to the drivers right leg and wire harness.

It's basically a plug and play.

Good luck,

:)>-

Recent new member, tried searching for this before i posted it.

I am looking for aftermarket cruise control kits. I have gone to a bunch of Jyards here in San Antonio, but have been unable to find what I need so i just want to get an aftermarket.

Now, I have seen two different types, I am going to assume(from the other posts abouit cruise control) that the vacuum one is the one im suppose to be getting.

Does anyone have any experiance in this at all? What is the best one to buy?

Thanks for all the info in advance!!!

I guess I will be the first to complete this, this is what I have found...http://www.rostra.com/products/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.html. Do you think its gonna be worth it? I just feel this would be alot easier than hunting around all the texas junkyards for all the parts. I reside in San Antonio and they are all pretty cleaned out.
