converting the a/c compressor

I've seen a few people do it. It's not that hard from what i understand. You just have to swap a few fittings to get the hoses you need. You'll have to figure out how to turn it off and on unless you plan on working it straight from the panel. A '87-'88.5 heat/AC panel is ideal for it since you have the separate button for a/c. I don't know how easy it would be to swap in though.

LOL...I had to laugh at this one! Trust me it can be done! My dad turned my AC on my first car (75 Mercury Monarch) in an air compressor! Granted, I didn't have Air Conditioning but I had an Air Compressor.

He actually had it wired to where we flipped a switch next to the compresser and the hoses and everything fit nicely under the hood. I had a lot of fun with that car...351W in an engine compartment meant for a 6 cyl. I was the only one who could change the spark plugs!
