Hey all,

I've been tossing the Idea around wheather I should do Coil Over on my 1991 Bonco or stay with the current suspension with a 6" Lift. I would appreciate any comments that lean either way.

Thanks

If you stay with the TTB frontend, I would say stick with a 6" susp lift kit. The cost will be the same or less as a pair of coil overs. If you run a straight axle (SAS) with CAGE Offroad arms, you might like coilovers vs lift coils. JSM84

Ok

Any recommendations for a 8" lift then? I've seen many.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The only company that offers an 8" susp lift kit is Skyjacker, but I wouldn't go more than 6" with the TTB set-up. What size tires are you wanting to run? you can fit up to 38's with the 6" kit + 3" body lift. But I personally don't like body lifts for safety reasons, and 38" tires will put alot of added stress on the TTB parts. 38's are even tough on the Dana44 straight axle in my 78 Bronco. That's why I've gone to a Dana 60 SAS in the 84 Bronco, running 36" tires. JSM84

Probably going to stick with 36s. I heard about issues with 8" lifts and the TTB. I just want a little more hieght out of it.. So a good 6" and 2-4" body maybe?
