yo,

I haven't seen it done, but it has been yakked about being too costly for an EFI equipped vehicle here in USA

Prob the most succinct review has been; "...we have all sorts of stupid government (EPA) regulations that make the CNG conversion much more expensive. From what I have heard, in Brazil and other less regulated countries, a safe CNG conversion can be done for $3-4000..." by Dave

How about a Bi-Fuel LPG Conversion Kit?

Technocarb Kits

DP-FO50-89-97 1989-97 Ford 5.0L

DP-FO58-87-97 1987-97 Ford 5.8L

General Information

All factory engine components remain as per OEM.

Meets EPA LEV and Clean Fuel Fleet Standards on 2003 Models

Fuel tank is not included in this kit. Technocarb has found that Sleegers' tank 11x42 - 11x39 SGTW (91 litres) works well in this application.

Operation

Technocarb conversions are designed to operate as seamlessly as possible. Starting your vehicle on propane is as easy as starting your vehicle on gasoline. Bi-fuel conversions equipped with auto switch over capability always start on gasoline and then automatically switch to propane. This is to ensure that the gasoline system is always operating correctly, and no problems occur when the propane storage is depleted.

A fuel selector switch is installed on the dashboard of dual fuel vehicles. A yellow LED indicator lamp indicates propane operation while a red LED indicator lamp shows gasoline operation. Depressing the fuel selector button switches the fuel mode from gasoline to LPG and vise versa.

Most vehicles utilize the gasoline fuel level indicator when operating on propane. Some vehicles only have a sight gauge on the propane tank and some have an indicator integrated into the fuel selector switch.

Drive your vehicle on propane as you normally would on gasoline. In the event that your LPG storage is depleted during normal operation, you must manually switch back to gasoline.

SPECIFY THE MODEL YEAR OF THE VEHICLE:

hmm, im not to shure about cng kits,

i do run a lpg kit on my bronco tough,

i dont have much experience with the kit miesk mentioned togh.

Ya have 2 basic types of lpg kits for our cars.

The good old "mixer" systems,

in a mixer system you have a mixer ring in the intake hose who mixes the gas with the air,

the basic components for a mixer system is:

Storage tank, Vaporicer, (converts liquid lpg to gas form), the mixer, and last the optional labda control system.

this is what i run.

Then ya have the injection systems,

lpg injection systems work in the exact same way as your original efi system, but with dedicated injectors for the lpg.

basic components for theese systems are: storage tank, vaporizer (does not work the same way as the mixer vaporizer), "brain", injectors

for our cars i whoud suggest going for a mixer system with a lamda control.

its just not worth it to go for the full injection system,

also remember that lpg is 115 octane. you will notice a small difference when ya are running on it.

a shot of the first install in my bronc.

Ive modified taht a bit after that pic was taken, to reduce hose lengths.
