CHANGING A FLYWHEEL

:(( Flywheels are on standard trans. and flex plates are on auto trans. As to removing them the only way is to unbolt the trans and shifter/linkeage, wires and slide the trans back far enough to get an impact gun and socket/wrench up in there to remove the bolts from the flywheel/flexplate, some times you have to unhook the exhaust also for clearance to allow the trans to slide back,(just remember that the trans and transfer case are very unevenly balanced and will tip and smash fingers realy quick!) Have a strong friend over to help you!!! Hope this will give you some help.

You also CANNOT use one from a 302 for a replacement they are weighted different . Has to be from a 351W,351C, Also CANNOT use one from a 300 6cyl because it too is weighted different . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
