yo, Holley has info in their site @ http://www.holley.com/data/Products/Technical/199R10219-3rev1.pdf

If that 570CFM isn't da correct unit; see others @ http://www.holley.com/types/Street%20Avenger.asp

Select the correct carb;

then select Technical Information

Instructions for Part#
Thanks, miesk. I saw that info on the Holley sight, but it doesnt give instructions on replacing the needle/seats.

I read somewhere else that to change them, just remove the lock ***** and float adjusting nut and that is where the

needle/seat is. Is that correct??

Also, according to a couple of charts i've seen, holley 570 is about right for my B-Co. To me, that seems a lil small.

should i go with something bigger?

What needles are you talking about? The Idle mixture? The float?

I'm guessing here, but i think its the float needle/seat assembly. Here's the link:

If it is a new carb, then you shouldn't have to do anything. It should be set properly from the factory. That is the fuel inlet valve, which can be adjusted if the fuel level in the bowl is not right. You can check that by removing the site plug on the side of the fuel bowls and check that the fuel level is just up to the bottom of the hole. If fuel runs out then you need to simply adjust the opening and closing of the inlet valve. Read the technical data on your carb, it gives the procedure. Also have some rags or paper towels to absorb any fuel that comes out the hole. If it is set right nothing will come out and the fuel level will be right at the bottom of the hole. If nothing comes out and the fuel level isn't at the bottom of the hole adjust the inlet valve slightly to allow more fuel into the bowl.

The other adjustment is the idle mixture, which is also factory set and may need some tweaking for optimum on your truck. That procedure is also in the technical material. Be careful if you decide to ***** them all the way in and then back them out. If you tighten them when they bottom out, you can wreck the seats.

Other adjustments are cold idle speed, kick down and hot idle.

Follow the instructions in the technical write up Miesk5 gave you the link to. Print off the one that is for your carb and take it with you.

But a lot of those adjustments are to get optimum running on your engine and don't have to be made. they are tweaks on top of the factory settings which will run your engine fairly well without tweaks. Here is another link to some great information on Holley carbs http://www.bob2000.com/carb.htm

Good luck,

Great info, Thanks. But that particular float needle/seat assembly are spring loaded. an adjustment for off road vehicles. I was

thinking about upgrading the holley 570 with off road needle/seat.

Ya, I caught that after I dribbled all over the post  . Then that is a fairly simple task but according to the manufacturer, you need to take the carb off and hold it inverted while inserting the new fuel bowl valves. Once they are in there you will have to do the fuel level adjustment. Hopefully a set of instructions will come with it.

Good luck,
