hi, I have a motorcraft 2100 carburetor on my 73 bronco(302). When I turn the motor over gas pours out of the bowl vents and the motor wont run. Anyone know what my problem might be?

The problem is most likely have a bad float or float valve in the fuel bowl. Sounds like a rebuild or new carb is in order. As old as that carb is, I'd recommend a new or re-manufactured carb since a rebuild kit does not address all the possible problems, like worn parts and vacum leaks.

Good luck,

:)>-

The good news is..., you know the fuel pump works..!! ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

DITTO Seabronc ...... but a quick check/test/inspection is to remove the top of the carb so as to visually see the problem.

It's common for debris to block the needle-n-seat open thus rendering the float useless.

-OR- the floats sometimes develop leaks & then sink...allowing continuous fuel flow.

On some carbs., the needle & seat can be removed right at the fuel line inlet.... I don't remember if the 2100 is set-up that way but, if so, there's no need to remove the carb top to insp. this part.

You're lucky the motor flooded & won't start..... this is a fire hazzard...!!

Be sure to sop up all that fuel B/4 continuing..!! :-B
