Hey, brand new to the forum. Recently got an 81

Bronco. Took the top off for the first time, and now I can't fasten the screws back. I only have the brackets for the back two places to fasten the top down, so that's all I've been using; is there any trick to getting the top to line up correctly so I can't ***** it down? Thanks in advance.

Once you set the top on, it is necessary to tighten the bolts around the top before tightening the ones along the side.  If you tighten the side bolts first the top won't be able to move forward as the top bolts are tightened.

Hope that helps

Just bought it and it didn't have any bolts to use on the top- guess I'll need to put some in. Thank you!

Pretty dangerous rolling around with only a couple bolts in your top.

Will I need to get the brackets to go with them, or can I just put bolts in?
Get any hardware that is included with the bolts.  Try to get the ones from a pre-90's Bronco and take a ratchet with you, it will make life easier to get them out.  90's Broncos use bolts with security bump in the middle.  You will need a hex key socket.
