I bought a 95 xl with 5 liter in Vegas to drive back to New Orleans. I know very little about Bronco other than what I can see. It has MSD ignition,K&N filter. Has 32x12.50x15 tires.

I am on I40 going east, drove about 200 miles. No power, will shift into overdrive then it starts loosing speed. Can run ok with with overdrive off. I am getting about 10 mpg. Stopped in small town to get it checked out, I have no tools with me, anyway Goober put scanner on and said I have an egr problem-low voltage or something.$60.Goober said he couldn't fix.

Are there any Bronco members close to I40 in AZ that could help me out or refer me to a honest, reasonable mechanic?I am in Williams,Az. now. Next stop will be Flagstaff.I think I can make it home but am unable to keep up with traffic, on some passes I slow down to 40mph and it kicks down to 2nd gear.I'm not happy with the prospects of driving another 1600 miles getting 10mph.

Please Help

I can't answer your question, but I would suggest that you replace the fuel filter because it is easy and could be the problem. The fuel pump could also be the problem but it is harder to fix. Not sure if you have two fuel pumps or just one in the tank.

Found problem, E3 spark plugs. Having Auto Lites installed. Should be back eastbound on I40 in an hour!
