Hi, all.

I have anothe strange global question...:)

One day i drove to off-road and saw it: when my Bronc goes up to soft cover hill with more than 45 degrees grade (sand hill for example) - it's stops on the slope, when it reaches max angle. All wheels don't spin in this situation and no slip!!! Tranny stay in D position, 2H or 4H in transfer case, engine at 1500-3000 rpm - but car not move and all wheels not spin!!! Where is torque? Tranny is stall?

How car should behave in this situation?

When i put transfer case in Lo position - all is ok. Wheells starting to "dig sand", "mighty and powerfully".

And i don't want make stall-test tranny for my concerns to **** the old tranny...

It can be observed only in hard angled slopes.

Tranny is C6 and engine is EFI 5.0.

Yes, it's so steep, i agree. But i think, that if it's so hi and steep - torque power must slip the wheels. Car can't move -> it must slip wheels... Sand is not good pave for good grip (traction). M-m-m, or i was wrong?

And second - if car can't move for hi slope and suppose, slope have a exellent pave whith good grip (with no slip on it) - what happens with a car? ATF will circulate in tranny, while it not overheating?
