I did this swap in my 89 C6 for AOD . First you have to change the flywheel I just woke up and realy dont remember why right now but I know I had too . The 302,s in 80 something went to a ligfht crank which changed the weighting on the flywheel theres a 50 oz weight on it . The E4OD takes the same flywheel as the C6 so fingong one for your C6 and that 302 will be easy . I cut the pigtail off the tranny harness and wired in a brand new neutral safety swithch on the C6 I would recomend soldering and shrinkwrapping the wires to prevent problems later . The red with white stripe wires are for the nuetral safety and the black with purple stripe wires are for the backup lights . I didnt have to do anything with the driveshafts but it had a 6 inch lift on it too so dont know about a stock one . The shifter linkage will have to be cut and I dont remember how much I had to remove and the Tcase shifter rod will have to be fabbed because it is a different length due to its mounting point on the tranny changing . I really cant remember why the flywheel wont work only that it wont maybe it was the bolt pattern for the torque convertor but you can get one from an E4OD and a 302 and it will work fine . You can not use one from a 351w or any other motor for that 302 it may bolt up and look right but it IS NOT weighted right and youll be taking it out again . Has to be from an 80,s and up 302 (5.0) . Hope that helps :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
