C6 Automatic Transmission Filter Bolts

Hey,

I am really hoping someone can help me out. Was installing my new transmission filter and one of the bolts snapped. I have searched high and low for a part number or even a general fastener description and have not been able to find anything. I know that I will need to remove the valve body in order to remove the broken bolt but I do not want to venture that far into the process until I have my new fasteners in hand.

(Their excuse) and the ONLY time they come around is to get something. IF they do-START charging them--break their habit. Old part are some times hard to find. OLD REAL FRIENDS --ARE TOO

Going to disassemble the valve body this morning and try to get that bolt i broke out of there so i can start my truck up for the first time in a month.

Also you might want to get the whole transmission for parts. Sometimes the small brass fitting are hard to find and expensive at parts stores. Hear they will tell you they don,t have it in stock. It will take 2 or 3 days to get. They won,t tell you they have to order it on the internet. You figure the gas and time to go get it at the parts store. You might as well order it on the internet. Good luck. Also if you have to remover the NETRUAL SAFTEY SWITCH. On the side of the C-6. If you put it back on. Don,t over tighten it. They will break off. Someone broke one off on mine. Also sometime the neutral safet switch ,s are hard to find and expensive.Sometime its NOT the switch.Check the wires at the connection behind the motor toward the passenger side. That is where mine broke off.
