buying a 88 b2

I am looking into buying a 88 bronco 2 xlt 4x4 with auto tranny. The original tranny was used with the 2.9L engine. The bronco 2 just had a 4.0L engine swap out of a 1990 ranger xlt 4x4 with a manual tranny. Is there going to be any major problems with the engine and tranny, or am I going to have to buy a new tranny. Someone please help>

The tranny is the same one as the one used behind the 4.0ls so as far as that there should be no problems strength wise. As far as the motor is concerned some wiring issues will have to be resolved. Is it running?

This is information I have gleaned from another site so it may pay to do an internet search.
