bronco turns over but dosent fire

Ok we have a 1986 Ford Bronco II and it has sat for close to 2 years and we have to get it going to sell one of our other broncos this fall...we put a new fuel tank in it and a fuel pump...it turns over and if we spray ether in the air intake it tries to start but if we spray gas in it it fires but dies we think its the fuel pump by the drivers side door or it maybe culd be a relay...and we only have a few weeks to get it running help asap wuld be very much appreciated

Jumper the pump and ck for fuel pressure. Thinking ya have fuel injected you should have 40psi at the rail.
