should fit try it! Everything should match up I have a tailgate off a 1993 and it fits my 90.

The only thing with the 82 top is, if your truck had a 3rd stop light in the top, you need to have one on the new top. Small point, but it is illegal to remove the third light if a vehicle is equiped with one. That only means that you would need to add one if you had one. The other items are definatly compatable.

but honestly, what cops are going to know which broncos had a third tail light and which ones didnt? and if they do, they are probably bronco lovers and will let you go without batting an eye. I "illegaly" removed my top with the 3rd brake light over two years ago, and havent gotten pulled over yet
