body lift

i'm planning on doing a 2 or 3" body lift but it depends on if I gotta extend any lines/steering column and all that. I got an86 fullsize 5.0 . I'm sure most of u guys have done it to yours and I'm wondering if I gotta extend anything. any help would b nice ,thanks
