I have a 1990 full size. I have trouble sometimes with the battery not turning over. If I drive it and then turn it off and then come back to start it it won't start. so We replaced the negative battery cable because it had cracks and was worn. When I went to turn it on the positive cable sparked any idea what I have done wrong? Please help

best guess is that there is a bad connection on your positive post. if you have a multi-meter switch it to a setting that will test from 0 - 12 volts or even lower than 12. put the negative on the post and the positive on the connector if there is anything higher than 0 then you have voltage loss, if you get 0 then leave the negative on the post and check the connection on the solenoid you should also get a reading of 0, other wise you will either just have to clean up the connection at the post with a wire brush and a pipe cleaning brush or you can replace the wire and connector.

just try cleaning it first cause if it it intermittent then you might not read anything when you test, and then have the battery die again later down the road.
