Can anyone recommend a battery isolator for my dual battery setup?

one yellowtop

one redtop

I read sure power is the way to go, but some have 4 connectors on top and some have 3 connectors on top, im not quite sure what the difference is.

thanks,

Hey Moj,

The 4 post has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. the important thing is to get an isolator with an amperage rating at or slightly above the rating of your alternator, and designed for your application. The manufacturer can give you the correct application. If you want to grab something on Ebay, and hope it works, it may not be your best decision.

Good Luck

Thanks Ron,

i think i will go with the sure power 160 amp Isolator.

the diagrams i have been looking at have two wires going from the alternator to the isolator and then a wire going to each battery.

im not quite sure why i would need two inputs from the alternator versus one inpupt from the alternator.
