I think krafty is right I had an f150 that did that exact thing . I just never did nething about it because I thought it was gonna b expensive. too bad it was just a bad u joint in the rear lol found it out when I tried racin my friend and the driveshaft just fell CLUNK lol try replacing em

so yeah i drove her all the way to naples florida like it was couldnt afford anything but gas..to my surprise she did fairly well little vibrations around 80mph but not terrible wat so ever...uhmm i did end up taking her back to where i got the transmssion rebuilt no codes pulled up except the egr valve...which i suspect is causing my fluctuating idle but its very minimal...the clunking into gear isnt rlly progressing its just soo damn annoying, just here to tell ya'll i appreciate all of your suggestions and thoughts, iam just glad she made it to florida instead of pushin her up an on ramp in downtown atlanta that wouldnt have gone over too well...i will be checking rear-end, slip yokes etc soon
