WHAT'S UP GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

i haven't been logged on for some while because i've been busy with my high school marching band rehearsals and tracking ebay transactions, but i'm back and very glad. it's currently 10-21-05 in uvalde tx. and my book is due back at the library (crap...)

i decided to put a set of headers on my b2 that I got from AZraceplace.com, who sold me a set of pace setter headers for about 200 bucks for my 2.9 v6.

as of saturday, 10-15-05 we had marching regional UIL competition in the morning in san antonio... that went well... we are going to area competition on the 29th (saturday.) i started this project that afternoon

when i started pulling off the bolts for the exhaust ******, i noticed the nuts were welded onto the ******, and the bolts were seized...CUT THEM!!!

then came the crossover/downtube bolts... no problem, just that one claimed one of my sockets... and then disaster....

when i went to take off the passenger side manifold... all the bolts..ALL THE BOLTS broke off at the third thread, except for one that broke flush. "oh, well i guess that's just the way that it is, don't bother none." but guess what? can't drill em' out---no room!

so we decided to break the other side and then pull the motor! all but three broke.

so now i stand with all the wiring off, the radiator out, the tranny unbolted, and the ac lines off. now to get the mounts and fuel...

will post more on this project soon!!!

hey!

got the motor out, port/polished the exhaust ports B) ( thanks to dremel tool :-B ) put the headers on >:) , replaced the water pump and all the freeze plugs :)>- , just need to stab the motor in and re-connect everything, if the tranny wants to be mated again. [-o<

the tranny's being a butt. :(( it took my father and me from 2:30 until 6:45 to swear at it and attempt to mate the engine/trans. will work on it this week and will post pictures, if i can find out how.

if anyone knows how, tell me please ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Eat Macaronni and Cheese 0:) . That reminds me of when my cousin and I were reinstalling a tranny in his 37 Ford coupe. We faught for hours with no luck, his mother called us in for dinner. On the menue was Kraft Macaronni and Cheese. We devoured it and went back out for another try, the darn thing almost fell into place and we were done bolting it up in less than a 1/2 hour. So that's my suggestion :-" .

Probably something just not quite lined up.

Good luck,

:)>-

it took me bout 15 min to get my trans lined up with the eng....the worst thing was lining up the torque convertor because it has studs and not bolts(leave it to ford to desine that setup :)) )

i had to remove my heads to install my headers because of the dreaded broken bolt... i took care of the broken exhaust bolts with a new snap-on drill set and tap and die set and let the machine shop take care of the intake bolt that broke..i didn't want to tempt it with it being at an angle

any way good luck with your headers and post some pics to see what they look like when your done :D

hey guys!

had to line up the clutch after playing with the tranny for an entire day.

headers are on, exhaust bolted firmly with no leaks. almost sounds like a small v8! however....

upon test driving, the damn tire fell off due to the lug nuts being loose (how, we don't know) good thing i'm a good driver, eh? the only damage was a little bit of scratching on the brake rotor, inserts to my aluminum rims being pulled out from the shear force, and my pride.

still need to know how to put up pictures and stuff, so if anybody wishes to share how, drop me a p.m.

by the by, i'm getting some mickey thompson classic 2 rims. 15x8
