How many Broncos have HIDs in them?

I've noticed in my group of friends, HIDs are very popular with my friends (even girls!) with newer vehicles (2000-2010) and the buds with older vehicles (60-late 90s) don't have them..

I for one have a kit in all vehicles I own because of their amazing light output and the fact they are $20 more than regular lights and last 5 times longer...

Just thought it was interesting. But if you got a kit in your older truck, post up!

Personally, I find them annoying on cars coming at me at night, so I could only imagine how someone in front of me would feel. Just my opinion, but my factory lights work just fine.

That's because people arn't smart enough to figure out they need to adjust their headlights. I've yet to be flashed by oncoming traffic, in the three vehicles that don't have factory HIDs..

Same concept as high beams.. you can have your highbeams on all the time, if you adjust your headlights per the 25/5ft rule.

Where do you find HIDs for $20 more than regular? What do the kits cost?

Nope..never had an issue with them. However, to be "nice" I did cut down on the glare by putting tape around the outter edges of the headlight lens, which did not effect the light output, but did cut down on the glare a lot.

Cops don't care. I've been behind countless number of cops, and quite a few state troopers especially on my 3k mile road trip in December.

But like I said, you have to adjust your headlights per the 5/25' rule. HID or hologen, you need to adjust your headlight lenses because when you install em (factory) they arn't angled/alligned perfectly..hence why they have adjustment screws!!

They are so worth having.. everyone that rides in my trucks at night, goes out and buys a kit eventually.

Oh and a cool thing I've noticed, you'll get cars that pull up next to you, either passing or you passing them, and they'll slow down/speed up and I guess compare headlights? Never really had that happen before the HID swaps.
