I recently got a black 93 bronco and it only had 1 door panel. It has tan interior but I was able to get a really good deal on a pair of door panels in dark gray. I was thinking I'd get SEM interior paint in tan for them. The more I think about it, I would really like to change the interior colors a bit.

I was thinking about painting the door panels black with some tan trim and replacing the dash ( it is a bit of a mess in places ) with a black dash cover. I don't want to literally repaint the entire interior trim. I plan on tearing out the rest of the carpet (there is none in the back) and installing black vinyl flooring. I was considering having the fabric trim (velour?) tan and the rest black.

Any ideas or pics of similar ideas?

344.jpgThe interior is a work in progress, haven't got the console built.

The seats will be 2 tone, with the perferated sections in black.

The upper dash is recovered in a black vinyl remenant from JoAnns. I got 3 yards for only $9.00. The upper door panels are painted with Krylon for plastic from Home Depot

Thanks rons beast, more great ideas. Did you recover the dash yourself? If so, what would you say the difficulty level was scale of 1-10 for a beginner? I see you are from Florida and noticed the Bucs cap. Are you in Tampa Bay? I'm in Largo.

Hey Judy, I'm in Spring Hill.....yep, a Bucs fan!

I recovered the dash myself. It wasn't bad. The screws are hard to get to over the radio. I dropped the glove box down and that part was easy. Remove the radio and it was still a little tough to get to the ***** farthest to the driver's side. Your hands are smaller no doubt, it may be easier for you.

I then cleaned and degreased the part and sprayed both the dash part and the vinyl with a good HI-Tack spray adhesiveor a few minuits. ( don't get the cheep stuff.) It's easier if you let the vinyl sit in the Frorida sun for a few minuits...but not too long. Then spray and wait about 2 min. and stick it on. But remember once it's on...it's on!

Good Luck

Let me know if you have any other questions.
