Anybody ever had that feeling that your door is open while going down

Anybody have a clue why my door chime thinks it needs to go off while going down the highway? with the doors shut might i add..88 bronco, just got it painted by the way, and i noticed they got paint in the door latch mechanism.. think this is it?? when i open and shut the door it goes off for about 10-20 min, then does it again, hhmmm

That paint could be it.. or they didn't put the door on correctly (if they took it off ofcourse)

To fix my problem on one truck I used to have, I took two quarters, and duck-tapped them to where the push switch is located in the door jam..this ofcourse, the quarters reduced clearence and pushed in the switch more, thus causing it to not chime/turn dome lights on. That may help

or could be a loose wire.
