So my fuse blows everytime i try to roll the rear window down. I can roll the front windows down all day long, but the second i touch that rear button..."pop". Any ideas? Oh i should mention its a 88 and its been converted from efi to NA. So theres a butt ton of plugs and random wires that seem to be a mistery. Im currently looking for the elusive hot wire for my stereo. Who ever had the truck before me needs a throat punch. Thanks.

"...All '80-96 t/g wiring runs from the dash switch (F2TZ-14529-A Motorcraft SW7071 ~$25~65) out the firewall along the frame to the rear bumper *** up to the L taillight and into the t/g. ***** '80-86 have a large round 3-wire connector in the LHR taillight well; those with rear defrost also have a 1-wire connector. All years with rear defrost have a ground ring screwed to the body in the taillight well..." in Tailgate Replacement by Dustin S @ http://ylobronc.users.superford.org/tailgate.html

I had a problem with my window rolling up. After replacing the switch and basically taking my whole tailgate apart, I found out it wouldnt roll up due to my tailgate not latching all the way. Even tho it was shut tight, the lock wasnt sending the signal that it was latched. So I simply hooked the power wire strait to the wiring harness and now I can roll it up or down with no problem.
