Advance timing light

I need to adjust the timing on my '90 Bronco XLT. It has a 5.0 EFI engine. I went to Autozone to buy a timing light and all they had was an "Advance Timing Light." The directions make no sense to me. Can someone explain it to me? Did I get the wrong light for my truck? This one has a dial on the back.

What the dial does is lets you put it on what dagree you want your timing set at. Like if you set the **** to 10* then you'll line the timing marks up together instead of guessing what dagree you're at. Make sense? Hope that helped...
