96 Bronco Turn signal

Hi all, I have a question about the turn signal switch and what dose it control like a wiring diagram. So far I found out with out it made the head lights not work and wonder if it effects the break lights, here is a pic of what I am talking about. Tried looking in the repair manual for some words of wisdom but no luck or I am skipping a page.

Multifunction Failure Causes; "...Mechanical components wear out or electrical connections are faulty If the switch assembly is not operating properly, turn signals, hazard warning lamps, windshield wipers/washers and the headlamp beam selection may not operate properly. Related Components to Check The switch itself, the electrical connections to the switch and the connections to each of the affected components (items such as turn signals, wipers, etc.)..."
