96 Bronco EEC interchangeable

Will a 96 5.8L EEC work in a 88 straight 6? The one in my 88 is fried and I can get one cheap from that truck if it will work.

Hey Kyle,

I do not believe the 96 will work on your 88. There are many different protocols, and permiters between the 2. Besides the physical difference between the pin connections.
