I came across a 95' for $3000 and only 115k, but the owner says the dashboard went out and now the tranny shifts funny... I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem before and if you have, what is the fix and how much to fix it... I would appreciate any advice...

Thank You,

Darrin

I am not 100% sure about what you are saying with the dashboard, but i know what you are saying with the trans. Newer bronco transmissions i think are junk, the AODE or whatever. But check the fluid level and if its low add some fluid that might help it out. If not then it sounds to me like you need to have a trans specialist check it out or whatever.

I'd suspect that the dash problem, if you mean lights, is a fuse since most of the dash and clock are usually on the same fuse. Should be an easy fix.

Good luck,

Hello the 95,s have an E4OD transmission which is an electric solenoid operated 4 speed transmission . If you are having any electrical problem that deals with any of the speed sensors or any signals coming or going to the tranny it will shift very poorly if at all . I agree with Seabronc that you should check all the fuses the ones under the dash and the ones under the hood on drivers side . If there all good check the plugs at the tranny they are on the drivers side above the gear selector lever . If the retaining tab breaks off the plug can work its way out causing a poor conection . Thats a pretty good price for a 95 if the body is clean and the interior is nice it would be a very good buy even if you had to put a $1000 into it to make it right but will probably be a 10 cent fuse . LOL if its nice and you dont want it and its close to MI let me know im looking for another one . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Glad to see you spell your name the right way Darrin :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

This may be a stretch but the computer controls everything with that transmission and it might control the dash as well. This should be the last place to check as it is the most expensive.

Good Luck
