hi,

My dad has a 95 Eddie bauer. She has 280k miles and is starting to have tranny problems and diff problems. Anyways pretty soon my dad is gonna replace them along with some other things. The truck is sick and has done tons of work for a long time now.

anyways I was wondering what parts from other platforms work with it. I would really like to replace the few parts and make some more power for him. Im not going to go too far into it, just wanna make a little extra power.

I am already going to switch the Lts and dual pipes off my uncles truck onto it and I was also thinking about putting a new manifold, plenum, CAI,Rockers, a few cosmetic parts, pullys and a few other things on it.

Im not sure how the heads and block are setup, are manifolds and other stuff from the 5.0 mustang compatible? If they are then that makes things a million times easier because there are tons of parts.

What are some common cheap mods for the 351?

does anyone have input on Edelbrocks Victor Jr and Performer setups?

EDIT: The performer looks better because it operates in a lower range, Towing and Torque ftw.

Now this post has become more of a "what to build" topic.

I think Idecided to put a cam and everything else in.

What should I replace on the car? its got around 280k. Head gaskets, water pump, maybe oil pan gasket...what else?

Side- If the vehicle has 280k on it and has never been touched, and if you're thinking about installing a cam and everything else, in my opinion its time for a rebuild if its in budget. I'd look into maybe an air intake system for performance or a chip. (the last part may not be a magic spell, but it might work :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )

Step back and take a few minutes to think about this. First things first is to fix / repair what you know is broke or not working like it should. Does the transmission need to be rebuilt, or the rear axle? Or the engine? Before even thinking about adding some "go fast" goodies to the engine, you want to make sure it's worth the trouble. Kinda like putting new wipers on a cracked windshield. Replace the windshield first, then worry about the new wipers.

There's nothing wrong with putting together a wish list of things you want to do after you get the rig fixxed, which is what I get from your post. Sure, parts from the F-series trucks, vans and Mustangs may work on your Bronco. My approach has been to upgrade to stronger parts whenever I can when I need to replace something. A radiator or steering part from an F-250 may be better than one for a stock Bronco or F-150, or it may be exactly the same. You can find out by researching the parts on the internet, talking to your local auto parts store dude, or someone at the pick-n-pull salvage yard.

First step is to find out whats broken, and if you have any questions on that this forum is great with help and answers. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is the ultimate bronco. If you're on a tight buget like most of us, those little items like balljoints, starter, fuses, etc added together can eat just a big of a hole in your wallet as an engine overhaul. JSM84
