Ok guys this Bronco is killing me. I am still having vacuum problems and every time I fix one problem, another problem comes up. Now I am still getting code 172 (KOEO) and (KOER) code 311. I recently replaced all the vacuum lines under the hood and the vacuum canister. To fix the AC vacuum leak, the AC selector would cut the AC defrost on and off under low vacuum situations. The truck ran great then one day the check engine light came on again. A quick test showed code 172 M-(KOEO) and 311 R(KOER). Also under cylinder load balance test I received codes 30 (number 3 cylinder has a problem), 50 (number 5 cylinder) and 60 (number 6 cylinder). I then checked the wires and found that a few were loose. Fixed that now only I am only receiving cylinder code 30 over and over again. So now I know number 3 cylinder is not working. I am hoping it is maybe a vacuum or fuel problem. If anyone has an ideas on the possible fixes to/ or possible diagnostic testing for these problems please help!!!!

Sorry for the late reply. I thought this post was going nowhere. It is a 95 5.0 302 with 200k miles. I pulled the plugs and it appears that the previous owner only changed the ones that were easy to get to. All the plugs do fire, however they all look shot. So I am going to replace them before I finish the testing. As for Doing a Compression Check, honestly I have no idea of how to do it or even what tools are needed.

all you need to do for a compression test is get a gauge from the auto parts store dont buy one mostdo the loan a tool service where you rent it return it and get your money back but to do the test you simply remove the spark plug hook up the gauge and turn the engineover till you get a reading make sure you have the coil disconnected dont want itto fire up psi should be around 90-120psi but not completely sureask the people at the parts store they can give you those specs

yeah you can have intake off. let me know how it goes if you do have pressure try checking out your fuel pressure and also check the injector it could possibly be clogged also get a light to check the circuit to see if there is a break in any of the wires going to that cylinder

Honestly I think some of the injectors are shot!!! some are stuck in the intake and all of the rubber seals are missing. I am going to start by replacing the seals, but if I can get a good deal I am going to just replace all of the injectors.
