ok i need some help guys,it's been about 20 years since i have done any major gasket replacements----- on the fel pro gaskets for the heads, which side goes up,the only wording on the head gasket is front side, which leads me to believe that it is the side that is point up--second the intake manifold gaskets say head side which leads me to believe that side of the gaket points in. give me some good news and tell me the head gasket is on correctly, any help appreciated

Sounds right to me. All the Fel-Pro head gaskets I've used say TOP and FRONT. Also the front area of the block where the small water jackets are most head gaskets seal them off to allow water to push towards the back. If you are overheating now, the gasket could be in backwards. Or are you in the process right now?
