just got my first truck ever. been driving a minivan for years because i have a big family and it was easier to fit them in there. let me start off by saying i love my bronco. it's better than the minivan cuz i feel ten times safer with my kids in it. anyway, i bought the 92 bronco e. b. edition for 1500 bucks cash. minor rust around the rear wells and MAJOR rust on the tailgate. everything is stock.351 5.8L they stock manual locking hubs were shot so i replaced them with some 70 dollar Warns. other than the hubs its in great condition.just wandering if i got a decent deal. oh the engine does have 200,000 miles but it seems to have been mantained very well. i plan on fixing it up sooner or later and i am sure i will be coming here for advice.

Hey grats on your first Bronco! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You'll soon develop a very close relationship with your Bronc. I work on mine almost every weekend, just fixing things up, preventative maintenence etc. It's also getting a solid axle swap sometime soon I hope. Getting a slow start on that.... But anyhow, all the effort is worth it. It has never failed me, never not started, never left me on the side of the road, or trail for that matter. Shes old, shes tired, but with lots of TLC shes been there every time. Keeping the ladies Saturn running isn't half as much fun I'll tell ya that.

If you like wrenching sometimes, getting to know your rig inside and out, you'll love it. If you pay a mechanic for everything, I doubt you'll keep it long, just ask any other bronco owner out there heh.

Good luck, and keep us posted on the fixer-ups

Howdy Preacher, Enjoy that Big Bronco! A good deal is relative, if you're lovin it then you got a great deal. Jeff Foxworthy got my number when he said, "If you spent more money on your truck than you did on your house ...... you might be a redneck!!" Ha, Redneck here

1500 bucks? that's a smokin deal, evne with the minor rust problem. Considering the engine is as old as it is, you'll want to get yourself prepared for a possible new/rebuilt engine asap, since you'll never know when that one's gonna shit the bed - which will be at the most inopportune time
