I just picked the the truck up a couple days ago, it ran and everything, but I had to jump it off because the battery was no good. So I replace the battery and all is good. I go out the next morning to start it the battery is dead, so I hook the jumper cables up and it just cranks but wont start. I Changed all the plugs and it fired right up, I shut it off and now it wont start again. Its driving me nuts!!!

Are you sure the battery was dead? Did you check to see what the voltage was at the battery terminals? You could have a bad cable connection or bad cable. I would start by checking the voltage at the battery terminals, then disconnect the cables and clean all contact surfaces including the one where the battery (-) connects to the engine block and frame. While you are doing that check the condition of the cables, especially at the lugs. If there is any corrosion where the cable goes into the lug, replace the cable. You should also verify the alternator output when the engine is running, you should get at least 13.5 volts at the battery terminals when the alternator is running.

Good luck,

Im fairly sure that the battery was actually dead because when I hook up the jumper cables it will crank.

That could just mean that two batteries were enough to overcome the bad connections.

It is possible that you have two problems. Fix the cranking problem first and then diagnose the other problem. I would get the battery charged and then go through the cable connections like I already told you. If that is all good and it still has problems turning over, check out the starter. If you have bad grounds and bad connections you will get all kinds of symptoms weird and conflicting symptoms.

Good luck,

Ditto Seabronc....I lost hair over this kinda stuff....was a bad ground. Battery to frame...caused all kind of weird problems.

If they are original, do yourself a favor and change the battery cables.
