I have a 90 Eddie Bauer with a 93 302 ** from a Mustang GT. The engine is bored .030 with an E303 cam. I used the stock 5.0 upper & lower intake & exhausts. I made dual 2" straight pipes from the cat with a Y collector from Jegs.

It cost less than $130 and sounds kick-a__! I plan to add shorty headers, a jet performance module, and a K&N air intake & throttle body spacer. The rear axle is a limited slip 8.8 w/3.55 gears. I think I need a torque converter to stabilize the idle & take advantage of the cam's power band. This is primarily a street ride-daily driver. The rear tires are Bridgestone Dualler AT 265/75r15. What torque converter would you recommend? I'm looking at the B&M torquemaster2400. Is a torque converter for a car AOD the same as a 4X4 AOD? What brand or stall would you suggest?

Any info on all this would be appreciated.

This is a good article from Ford Muscle Magazine on torque converters. You might want to take their suggestion and talk to a converter specialist.

Thanks for the tip...lots of good info in the article. I'm still gathering info & want all the help I can get before I commit to something that may not work!
